Jeddore: European spelling of the Mi'kmaq word "We'jitu", meaning "I found it". This may relate to a vision had by We'jitu Isidore, A great Kji-Saqamaw of the Mi'kmaq. He was born in 1656 and died in 1769 at the age of 113. The vision occured when he was young, and he later became refered to as a "Kinap" which means a person of great physical strength.
